April Update

Latency Ping Test

Product Update

Most cloud desktop slowdowns come from the network between you and the server, not the server itself. The new Latency Ping Test shows you that information up front, so you know what to expect before you connect.

New Feature
See your network quality on every desktop
▼

Each cloud desktop now shows a live network health indicator. Green means low latency and a smooth experience. Yellow means moderate latency and possible lag. Red means high latency and likely performance impact.

The check runs from your device to the server hosting your desktop, so the result reflects your actual connection on that day, from that location. If you move between offices, switch from cable to Wi-Fi, or work from a coffee shop, the indicator updates accordingly.

New Feature
Plain-language tooltips for every status level
▼

Hover over the indicator and you get a quick explanation of what that color means for your session. No metrics to interpret, no jargon. Just a clear note on whether you can expect a smooth experience or some lag.

This is meant for end users, not just IT. A user seeing a yellow indicator gets the same useful context as an admin checking network conditions across a fleet of desktops.

New Feature
Warning banner when conditions look poor
▼

If the readiness check returns a red status, a banner appears before you connect, letting you know that performance may be affected. You still have the option to connect, but you go in informed instead of blaming the desktop for choppy audio or sluggish input.

For teams, this also makes triage easier. If a colleague reports a slow session, the first question (network or platform?) is already answered.

Improvement
Quicker resolution when you do contact support
▼

When you open a ticket about a slow session, our support team now has structured network data tied to your account: latency to the server you were connecting to, connection stability, and whether the issue trends with your network or our infrastructure.

In practice, this means fewer back-and-forth messages asking you to run tests, and faster identification of the root cause.

Coming next: a signal strength score that combines latency with connection stability, plus optional upload and download speed checks for users who want a fuller picture before connecting.
