The V2 Cloud crew is thrilled to bring you some incredibly exciting updates this month. We’ve been hard at work, and now it’s time to share all the fantastic progress we’ve made.

Update Dashboard Card for Trial Users look into

The trial period for virtual desktops now features a countdown timer, providing users with clear information about when the trial will come to an end.

  • A prominent yellow countdown timer will now be visible on all trial Virtual Desktops, ensuring users have a clear indication of the remaining trial duration.
  • The card will showcase the trial end date under the “Trial ends on” section.
  • Following the conclusion of the trial, the card will update to the original card design.

Updated Cancellation Modal for Trial Users

Trial virtual desktops are equipped with an exclusive custom cancellation modal, to eliminate any ambiguity associated with cancelling the virtual computer.

  • Initiating the cancellation process will promptly delete the virtual desktop and conclude the trial.
  • Users can expect the release of the payment hold within 10 business days after cancelling their commitment.

Refined Naming Convention for Virtual Desktop Cards

  • Within the virtual desktop card, the “Edit Description” option has been modified to “Edit Name” when selecting the actions button.
  • A new 250-character limit has been introduced for naming virtual desktops.
  • When names exceed the designated length, they will now display an ellipsis at the top of the card; users can hover over the name to reveal the complete computer name. This enhancement is designed to maintain a consistent and uniform look on the computers page.

Issue no.3: Managed users has the ability to modify their profile information through a specific api call

Issue no.4: Users on the V2 app using Mac and Raspberry Pi devices occasionally experienced an issue where they would remain on a loading page after logging out.

Fix to issue no.4: The latest app update has successfully resolved the issue.
