In this tutorial, you will learn how to set up Google File Stream on a Windows instance. This service allows you to mount your Google drive as a local on your computer. It saves storage and sync on your network with every user that can access it.
You need to uninstall Google Drive Synch first. Once uninstalled, you can start this tutorial.
STEP 1
Open Google Drive and select the settings icon. Click on Get Drive for Desktop to download the installation file.

STEP 2
Double click on the downloaded file and follow the installation instructions.

STEP 3
Login with your Google credentials and follow the configuration steps.



STEP 4
Open File explorer to verify Google File Stream now appears as a disk.
