How to Use Folders on V2 Cloud

The new Folders feature on the V2 Cloud dashboard allows you to better organize and manage your virtual computers. This tutorial will guide you through the steps to create and use folders effectively.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Access the Folders Feature

 

Log in to your V2 Cloud account to access your Dashboard. Navigate to the ‘Computers’ section from the left-hand menu. It is also possible to create and view folders via the list view.

Step 2: Create a New Folder

 

Click on the ‘New Folder’ button on the main dashboard. 

Fill out the folder details:

  • Folder name: Enter a descriptive name for your folder. 
  • Folder description: Provide a brief description of the folder (optional).
  • Add Computers: Select the virtual computers you want to include in this folder by checking the boxes next to their names.

Click ‘Add Folder’ to create the folder.

Step 3: Organize Your Virtual Computers

 

1. View your folders:

  • The new folder will appear on your dashboard with the name and the number of virtual computers it contains along with the total number of users.

2. Edit folder contents: 

To add or remove virtual computers from a folder, click on the 3 dots on the bottom right of the folder’s card. If you are viewing the folders in list view, select the 3 dots on the right of the folder’s card.

Step 4: Managing Folders

 

1. Move Virtual Computers:

    • To add, remove, or move a virtual computer from one folder to another, select the actions button on the virtual computer and select “Add to Folder.” A modal will appear where you can move your virtual computer.
    • Inside the folder, you can select the actions button on a virtual computer to remove them individually.

2. Rename or delete folders: Click on the folder’s options (three dots) to rename or delete the folder as needed.
