How to whitelist specific IP addresses

Categories

In this tutorial, you will learn how to whitelist specific IP addresses. This will block all connections that are not initiated from these IP addresses. This is useful to control the location from where you want your users to access your Virtual Machines.

To avoid any mistake and lock yourself out, the system will add by default the IP of the computer you are currently using. Feel free to contact [email protected] for any questions.

NOTES: If you do lock yourself out by entering a dynamic IP (IP address that will change overtime), you need to contact [email protected] from the account owner’s email address to request the IP restrictions to be lifted. We will not proceed with requests from different email addresses for security reasons.

STEP 1

Log to your dashboard as an Administrator and navigate to the Security tab.

mstsc /admin-command

Enter the IP addresses you want to be able to access your Virtual Machines. Any other IP address will not be able to log in. You can use single IPs or CIDR formats. Enter the IP(s) and click Update now.

mstsc /admin-command

You are done!

Only the specified IPs will be able to log in to your Virtual Machines.
