You may know virtual cloud computing as VDI. V2 Cloud delivers VDI technology in a fundamentally different way: we host and manage the virtual desktops and the broader virtual computing environment, and we remove the requirement for our clients to have IT at all. For most clients, along with managing the computing infrastructure, desktops, applications, files, databases, and servers, we also become their de facto help desk.
With traditional VDI, companies deploy and manage cloud computing themselves, so they need significant IT muscle and the right IT skills. V2 Cloud is designed for smaller organizations across the healthcare sector that have no IT, scarce IT, or IT people who would rather focus on something more valuable than the day-to-day maintenance of computing resources.
V2 Cloud’s approach to VDI for healthcare simplifies IT and lifts the burden by delivering centralized, standardized, secure, HIPAA-compliant modern computing, often at far lower cost than managing traditional infrastructure on your own.
Safeguard sensitive patient information with encrypted connections and centralized data storage. VDI helps prevent data breaches by keeping patient records secure, and meeting HIPAA and industry compliance standards.
Managing IT infrastructure across multiple locations is challenging. VDI allows your IT team to manage updates, patches, and software installations from a single platform, reducing downtime and complexity.
With telemedicine on the rise, healthcare professionals need reliable access to patient data from anywhere. VDI enables secure, remote access to applications and records, ensuring smooth operations for staff working off-site.
Scaling traditional IT infrastructure is expensive. VDI offers a cost-effective solution by eliminating the need for hardware upgrades. You can easily scale up as your institution grows, all while keeping costs under control.

Yes. If you are a covered entity handling protected health information, HIPAA requires a BAA with any vendor that stores, transmits, or has potential access to that data, and your cloud desktop provider sits squarely in that category. We sign one as part of onboarding.
The BAA sets out what we are responsible for and what stays with you. On our side: safeguarding the infrastructure your desktops and data run on, maintaining access controls and logging, and notifying you if a breach occurs on the platform.
On yours: your own policies, who you grant access to, and how your staff handle records day to day. The agreement makes that division explicit, which matters when an auditor asks you to produce it. Talk to our team before you sign up and we’ll walk you through the document rather than leaving it to your legal review to interpret cold.
Fast enough that it stops being a scheduling constraint. A new cloud desktop is provisioned from your existing configuration, so a locum starting Monday gets the same environment as everyone else without a hardware order, an imaging process, or someone spending an afternoon installing software. When the contract ends, you deactivate the desktop and the access goes with it.
For practices that run seasonal or rotating staff, this is usually the benefit people notice first, ahead of the compliance and security arguments that got them looking in the first place.
Yes, and it is the same desktop in each case, not a synced copy. A clinician signs in from the office, a second location, a home machine, or a tablet at 11pm, and finds the same applications, the same files, and the same session they left. There is no VPN to connect to first and nothing to move between machines.
Access runs through our app on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android, or straight in a browser. Because the data never lands on the endpoint, a personal home computer doesn’t become a device you now have to worry about.
